Initial Assessment NGOs vs Oikocredit

The Dutch NCP has accepted a notification from a group of non-profit organizations concerning an alleged violation of the OECD Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct by Oikocredit on 15 September 2023.

According to the notifying party, Oikocredit failed to conduct due diligence in the provision of loans to third parties, thereby providing loans to parties linked to alleged human rights violations in Cambodia.

The NCP is of the opinion that the notification merits further consideration and has offered its good offices to both parties. Both parties have accepted this offer.
